Systems Administrator

Location- Norwalk, CT

King Industries is actively looking to hire a Systems Administrator responsible for providing administrative support of onsite and in cloud server systems and infrastructure. Ideal candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science/engineering, or mathematics), as well as hands on experience administering a Hyper-V on-premise environment, followed by a hybrid migration to the cloud, and 3+ years managing O365/Azure AD and related services.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field, computer science/engineering, or mathematics.
  • Certifications (Security +, Network +, MTA, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP) a huge plus.
  • Exchange/O365 deployment, migrations (Mailboxes, Public Folders, User Profiles), administration and troubleshooting. Exchange calendar/shared folder permissions and delegation.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services - MFA, AIP, DLP, MDM, IP, PIM, AR, RBAC
  • 3+ years of experience with O365 Enterprise implementation and administration
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft environments (Power Shell, AD, GPO, Hyper-V, and DR systems).
  • 4+ years administering SQL Server, Windows Server 2008 thru 2019, and active directory.
  • Must have a good balance of resourcefulness - If you do not know how to do something new, figure it out, but if you are stuck, don't spend too much time on it before asking for help.
  • Experience with Veeam, PDQ, Lan Sweeper, SAGE X3, Dynamics 365, SSMS, SEI BI, PrinterLogic, TabWare, or other administrative tools a huge plus.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sustain systems while ensuring integrity, availability, and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot systems issues and implement the necessary solutions.
  • Maintain system documentation and change management detail.
  • Coordinate system maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
  • Manage Disaster recovery operations, endpoint protection, network, and monitoring.
  • Highly capable in the acquisition of new skills through self-study and research with the ability to apply new knowledge to current challenges and formulate solid solutions.
  • Develop into a resident expert on our enterprise and related infrastructure with a focus on security.
