Job description
Eastern Tech Company is an OEM for specialty inkjet ink technologies. Our brands include FIREBIRD Ink and CheaterTee for Direct-To-Garment (DTG) Printing. We are looking for a highly-motivated and well-qualified applicant for the role of Bench Chemist. The chosen applicant will report to Eastern Tech's R&D Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role of Bench Chemist will test and quality control the Company's inkjet inks for direct-to-garment (DTG) for textile applications
The position allows for the following responsibilities:
- Formulating and developing inks and textile coatings
- Developing inkjet printer hardware across various platforms
- Integrating inks, printer hardware, and printer software technologies
- Reporting and analysis of test results
- Quality control of the production batches
The position requires the individual to possess a problem-solving ability to find solutions and integrate with new printer technologies. Given Eastern Tech's development in new inks, the Bench Chemist will be required to test these inks on various printer platforms for real-world use and application. Based on the results, analysis will be required of the Bench Chemist to determine the next course of action until the desired results are achieved.
The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor's or master's degree in science or have working experience in the following fields: chemistry, engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, graphic/digital art design.
The applicant should not only have technical experience, but able to work within a team. We value the ability to with data - to generate, compile, analyze and report findings.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal applicant will have knowledge in:
Wet Chemistry
Bench Chemistry
Organic chemistry
Demonstrated experience in these areas is a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
