Title: Finance Systems Technical Specialist

Location: Stamford, CT - Hybrid Remote

Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities:

• High visibility opportunity. Work closely with this corporations Head of Financial Systems Solutions to support all Financial Systems related initiatives. Work directly with Controllers, Business Partners, external Big 4 Auditors to ensure that the most effective technical solutions are implemented.
• Support this companies IFS 4 Financial system, including giving guidance to Finance users during manual journals processing
• Perform analyses and understanding the need of Finance changes to ensure that the most effective solution is implemented
• Ensure timely responses and documentation for Finance team in regards to their requests and queries.
• Analyze the use cases and generate business flows and solutions to ensure the most effective design decisions are made that meet Finance reporting requirements
• Be part of the solution design process during the design cycle and support the creation of the design documents, work with various Finance workstreams and perform impact analysis.
• Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to the close financial period
• The candidate will be supporting 'Head of Financial Systems Solutions & Maintenance' for requirements gathering and business analysis support throughout the development life cycle.
• Develop and maintain standard project documentation - project plans, agendas, action items list, deliverables.
• Provide Support in functional testing and getting the resolution of identified gaps between business requirements for each Financial system within Finance architecture.
• Possess knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
• Responsible for coordinating with business user for user acceptance testing and resolution of identified gaps between business requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Insurance industry experience would be ideal, but will consider other industries
• 4+ years' experience working with Financial Systems, ideally IFS4, but will consider experience with similar Financial Systems
• Strong communication Skills are needed, who can communicate with business users and clients and understand the business requirement from them.
• Ability to communicate with Financial Controllers across different countries, coordinate with IT/technical teams.
• Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
• Strong written and verbal, facilitation and presentation writing skills
• Specific exposure to ERP is desirable.
