Senior Research Analyst - Markets Hub / Stamford, CT - Long Island, NY
Our Senior Research Analyst will be part of our National Research Markets Hub, focused on both the Stamford, CT and Long Island, NY markets. The Sr Analyst will collect and use data from JLL and other sources to analyze market conditions in Westchester County, NY, Fairfield County, CT and Long Island, NY and effectively tell the commercial real estate story to our brokers, investors, and other clients. Your responsibilities will be to track and analyze the commercial real estate markets in the tri-state area with a focus on trend analysis, market presentation, strategic business development support and research content creation. You will work closely with research colleagues, brokerage professionals and clients in the local markets, as well as with research colleagues throughout the nation within JLL's Americas Research group.
What this job involves:
* Closely monitor the commercial real estate markets in Westchester County, NY, Fairfield County, CT and Long Island, NY, including data related to properties, leases, tenants, availabilities, developments, sales and owners
* Become an expert on the local economies, job and industry makeup, demographics and local company growth, among other aspects of the markets so that you can tell a compelling story about each market
* Communicate data excellence and insights via traditional reporting products and the use of advanced data visualization tools, including JLL's new and proprietary technology
* Actively contribute to JLL's internal data management system and adopt or discover new creative uses for its content and visualization tools
* Publish quarterly market reports on office, as well as insights on other property types
* Partner with brokerage leaders to contribute to business development efforts and grow the business
* Contribute to client presentations by covering market intelligence, trends, and statistics
* Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator including being personally client facing and externally focused on new business efforts
* Keep track and inform brokerage leaders of local and national commercial real estate news
* Regularly update current tenant information for essential properties in the market

* Bachelor's degree preferred and 3+ years professional experience desired, can be in economics, consulting, real estate, economic development, urban planning or other related fields
* Demonstrated passion in real estate with a strong commitment to learning micro- and macro-level market dynamics
* Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency required
* GIS experience a plus (ESRI tools)
* Strong quantitative skillset with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analytics
* Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic team
* Organized and proactive approach
* Ability to multitask, be resilient and effectively manage time and workload between two markets
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
* Ability to work on location at the Stamford, CT office and Long Island, NY office throughout each week, with access to the Manhattan office as well
