Job description



Mosaic is seeking a passionate Behavioral Therapist to support our growing Autism program! We would love to consider you! This role is responsible to develop and implement mental and behavioral health training programs, plans and interventions designed to increase success in the community, teach adaptive/effective behaviors of individuals served and modify undesirable behaviors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Mosaic standards. In addition the role requires the following:

Conduct ongoing behavior assessment through observations, review of data and interviews, and recommend appropriate behavior intervention and support/consistency programs. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate implementation of Behavior Support Plan (BSP) and ongoing monitoring as needed.

Maintain accurate records related to mental and behavioral health programs, support plans and interventions. Monitor progress of plans, programs and interventions and make revisions as needed.

Provide crisis intervention support to individuals with behaviors jeopardizing safety of self or others; work with support teams and staff during crisis intervention to ensure positive and effective interventions.
*

Maintain contact with mental and behavioral health supports to monitor and support the development of individuals served.
*

Monitor effects of psychoactive medications on the health and behavior of individuals served, ensuring coordination among all aspects of service.
*

Monitor the quality of behavior change programs.
*

Actively participate in the national support team for mental and behavioral health, including but not limited to clinical type supervision, resource sharing and networking, training and resource development.
*

Safely operate a motor vehicle when required to travel on company business.
*

Travel required to multiple agencies and program sites throughout Connecticut

Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, or related field required.

One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in the area of intervention and support required. Supervisory experience preferred.

Completion of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst program preferred. Will also consider the following certifications: LPC, LCSW, LMFT

Previous experience in designing and implementing positive behavior programs preferred.
