Description: Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst in Newark, DE.

The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team, part of Corporate Controllers, is responsible for the execution and delivery of the Firm's regulatory reporting requirements.

This position is part of the Data & Platform Analytics (D&PA) team, a diverse, global team of 100+ employees who are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of data in the firm's Financial Reporting Infrastructure (FRI) platform. This strategic platform serves as the single source of data for Finance regulatory reporting tools, and is driving straight through data processing, reducing manual interventions and processing, and increasing the accuracy of finance reporting by systematic controls and intelligent data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in full life cycle projects, including establishing requirements, design, testing and implementation
  • Execute and lead activities with relevant milestones for data sourcing, data accuracy controls, adjustments, and exception reporting utilizing FRI
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal risk, control policies & procedures
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Reporting Teams and Line of Business Controllers across geographical regions on deliverables to ensure timely reporting to regulators
  • Lead touchpoint meetings, team updates, and project update sessions
  • Apply analytical review to problem solve and drive innovation troubleshoot.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • 1 to 3 years of financial services or related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS office applications - specifically, with data comparison, analysis summarization and formatting
  • Effective relationship management and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Visio, SQL/other databases
  • Familiarity with US Regulatory reporting (E.g. Y9C, Call, CCAR etc.) and controllership functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for the details
  • Self-starter who takes pride in ownership and can be a trusted business partner
  • Operates flexibly and embraces changes and reprioritizations
