Management Analyst (Category Management)
OCT Consulting LLC is a boutique management consulting company that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
We currently have an opening for a Management Analyst (Category Management) to support a government client with the management of procurements programs with enterprise-wide reach. Responsibilities and duties include assisting with the official management of special procurement programs with a broad reach across a federal agency, conducting research and analysis related to demand aggregation, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Best in Class (BIC) acquisition solutions, developing concepts of operation, producing reports and presentations, and other work, as requested.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Category Management as a government strategic business practice to operate more like a single enterprise
- Experience supporting Best in Class (BIC) acquisition solutions and the optimization of spend strategies
- Experience in demand aggregation, and the analysis of large quantities of data
- Demonstrated experience operating strategically in the acquisition/procurement environment (Preferred)
- Experience related to Vendor Management, Value Engineering, Supply Chain Risk Management, and/or Sustainable & Green Procurement programs is highly desired
- Demonstrated experience using Excel and other advanced analytical tools to analyze large sets of spend data
- Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and present results to Senior Government Executives
- Strong liaison and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in support of senior government stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to develop, document, and implement concepts of operation
- Demonstrated critical thinking and flexibility supporting emergent requirements
- MBA (Preferred), Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analysis, or a related field (Desired)
- Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance which requires US Citizenship; the investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check
