New Era Technology is a global IT integrator with 2,500+ employees delivering Collaboration, Cloud, Data Networking, Security, Large Venue, and Corporate AV and Managed Service Solutions to more than 9,000 customers.

We currently have a need for a AutoCad Designer to build custom graphic layouts using AutoCad for smart building/converged networking projects for large enterprise relocations. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in an enterprise network environment. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Position is remote.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs for new smart building, networking or datacenter layouts
• Meet with customers, Project Managers and Systems Engineers to understand the objectives and requirements of projects
• Estimate the time required to complete the work
• Work with a variety of graphic design tools including AutoCAD, BIM and Rabbit files
• Develop the overall layout and design for schematics used in construction of buildings and present finalized graphics to Project Managers
• Manage time spent on graphics and staying within time allocated in budget

Skills required:

• 5+ years' experience using AutoCad; Revit or other Building Information Modeling (BIM) 3-D Construction Modeling experience preferred but not required
• Experience in layouts for data center migrations or new build outs including Cabling, Networks, Servers and Applications.
• Experience in delivering services to customers with a track record of exceptional results.
• Good overall understanding of technology from a LAN/WAN perspective.
• Able to gather requirements from any area (end-user, engineering, operations, deployment etc.) and clearly communicate to all interested parties.
• Strong presentation skills for presenting to Senior Management and Steering Committees.
