Business Analyst - Mid-Level


What you are good at (Summary) Responsible for driving operational excellence across IT processes, while staying in alignment with ITIL, COBIT, and Unified Compliance Framework.


Responsibilities include:



  • Developing and maintaining formal process artifacts including Process maps, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions, and document projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams).

  • Resolving process related problems where expertise is required to interpret against policies, standards or other process documentation; identify issues by asking the right questions and identify/ involve the right stakeholders to help remove impediments.

  • Helping to document process control procedures

  • Driving Continuous Improvement (CI) activities within the existing IT Process design and improvement project.

  • Facilitating the frequent use of Lean IT tools; including Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Benefit Assessments, etc.

  • Working with various Process Owners and SME's to achieve established business objectives by utilizing continuous improvement to improve performance, eliminate waste, improve process efficiency and increase the skills and engagement of STS staff.

  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.


What you'll have :



  • 3-5 years' work experience in process improvement/redesign required, preferably in consulting environments and/or Financial Services companies

  • Kaizen Leader, Green Belt, Black Belt or other Lean training certification

  • Expertise in and proven application success with Lean or other process optimization/innovation frameworks (certification preferred).

  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience in financial services, broker/dealer and/or Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)




  • Preferred: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in IT Service Management (ITIL & COBIT)




  • Preferred: An understanding of Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance space, including tools (e.g. IBM OpenPages, StandardFusion, Archer)

  • Preferred: Experience with ITSM tools such as Remedy, Service Now, Service Manager, or equivalent * Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to drive results.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to generate change that clearly contributes to business success

  • Consultant experience with facilitation, documentation, and proactive relationship building.

  • Superior analytical capabilities and the ability to manage multiple improvement efforts.

  • Strategic, futuristic thought leadership, and the ability to work through constraints.

  • Experience with and demonstrated value delivery using process redesign/improvement tools.

  • Objectivity, accuracy, patience, meticulous attention to detail with goal oriented and quality output are a must.

  • Be a self-starter and be able to influence and navigate corporate culture and business partner relationship.
