The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing ACDI/ VOCA's business domain and documenting the business processes, systems, operations and assessing the business model and its integration with technology.

Responsibilities

Manage small to mid-size projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance. Perform user acceptance testing. Evaluate business processes, document requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions. Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements and perform requirement analysis. . Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine, as necessary. Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders. Collaborate with project sponsors and stakeholders to determine project scope and vision. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for developers and/or the project team. Conduct interviews for customer requirements and work with clients to understand their needs. Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements. Develop and utilize standard templates for clear requirements and specifications. Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements. Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements. Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings. Update, implement, and maintain procedures. Work closely with technical and managerial staff. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance, or related field. A minimum of 6 years of experience in business analysis or a related field. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Good knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies; track record working with vendors employing waterfall, agile and hybrid approaches. NGO industry experience or experience working in a grant-funded business preferred. Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and time management skills. Sound presentation, negotiation, judgment, and decisions-making skills. Great detail-orientation, analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to adapt and work in fast-paced environments. Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. Ability to interact effectively across organization and with diverse cultures. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
