Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team on monitoring financial markets and initiating trades or transactions to capitalize on recognized patterns or according to a defined strategy. You will develop strategies for analyzing financial market data and determining trends or patterns, make trades or transactions based on the analysis of financial market data, effectively transfer a portion of credit risk to private capital, and establish pricing according to the associated risk of the asset.

Responsibilities
The Capital Markets - Market Transactions - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders and market participants to assess potential disclosures enhancements to mortgage-backed securities (MBS).
- Develop and build strong relationships with internal and external customers through active engagement and inspiring work.
- Provide guidance to the team, monitor securitization markets, housing industry and ESG efforts, and initiate disclosure and eligibility strategy to capitalize on recognized trends.
- Lead and assist team members in tracking fixed-income markets, understand and evaluate new developments in the market including ESG, and report on potential impact on business/position, as well as use internal valuation and risk models to assist with analysis and demonstrate proficiency with financial market data sources.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4 years
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the mortgage banking industry, securitization, and capital markets. Knowledge of Fannie Mae processes and systems is desired but not essential.
- Familiarity with mortgage-backed securities and related disclosures.
- Familiarity with ESG and Resiliency within the housing industry.
- Familiarity with mortgage-backed securities and related disclosures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- The group of skills related to Governance and Compliance including creating policies, evaluating compliance, developing data governance, etc.
- Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
- The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
- The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
- The group of skills to define and document business requirements for software/system/report enhancements by working with business, technology and other stakeholders
- Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
- Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
- Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
- Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
- Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas
- Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Experience using SharePoint
- Skilled in SAS
- Skilled in using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Acrobat DC
- Skilled in Excel
- Skilled in using Bloomberg Professional
- Skilled in SQL
- Skilled in Tableau
- Experience using Microsoft Access
