Job description

Oracle Cloud Payroll Consultant
Functional Oracle Cloud payroll and absence management processes and setups. They should be able to effectively and efficiently manage day to day payroll operations,
generate audit reports and produce reconciliation reports of payroll data, audit reports for payroll data and get business approvals for bi-weekly and weekly payrolls. They should be able to respond to payroll related inquiries in timely manner and attend to urgent requests for information relating to payroll, tax processing and payroll policy matters and requires exceptional attention to detail, problem solving, and excellent customer service support skills.

Person in this role will also be responsible for impacts of upgrades and testing between Cloud releases.
Should be able to debug issues with Payroll, Absence Management, Working with Oracle Support via SRs for any Oracle Cloud issues. Offer Production support for Cloud Payroll and Absence management. Good understanding of Fast Formulas is a must.
Manage the day-to-day payroll operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and weekly payrolls
Generate Audit reports and review data for bi-weekly and weekly payroll for accuracy and work with Payroll business users for sign off and transfer of files to bank
Identify areas improvements and efficiencies by partnering closely with Business payroll users
Partner with Accounting team to ensure accurate general ledger reporting and reconciliations
Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Act as point of escalation and work to identify, track, document, and resolve errors, issues and risks proactively with timely further escalation of unresolved items to senior management
Ensures payroll processes are administered in compliance with SOX requirements, internal company policies as well as applicable country, federal and state regulations or legislation, including applicable wage and hour regulations
Perform analysis, generate reports and assist the People and Finance team with special projects that will streamline processes and improve procedures
Project lead for payroll related projects, including continuous development of processes that are scalable and support the company's growth
Strong knowledge of US taxation and understanding of Calculation Cards functionality at various levels.
Must have strong understanding of year end processing, reporting, W2, W2c reporting (Mandatory)
Must have experience on HDL's or HSDL's, especially payroll HDL's like Element Entry, Costing Overrides, Object Group and Balance adjustments.
10+ years of payroll and Absence Management functional experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills
Flexible; able to perform and deliver excellent results under high pressure
Extensive knowledge of Oracle Cloud Payroll and Absence Management Setups
Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to operate independently and have the strong desire to work as a member of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail and results orientation are required
Experience implementing payroll
Thorough Payroll and Absence Fast Formula understanding and debugging
Experience with ADP tax navigator(Smart Compliance) to support Periodic, Quarterly and Year-end tax filings.
Experience on element configuration, complex Payroll fast formulas, skip rules, and input validation fast formulas.
Experience on Global Absence Matrix fast formula, Absence Eligibility, Vesting etc. fast formulas and deep understanding of delivered absence jobs.
Responsible for adherence the statutory laws Federal, State, Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment, FLSA, PFL, SDI, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation Laws and regulations .
Ability to interact and manage third party vendors like Banks, ADP(Tax integration), TIAA etc.
Good understanding of differences between Regular, Supplemental and Separate payroll run.
