Corporate Associate - Emerging Companies / Venture Capital

Job description

The law firm of Foster Garvey PC is seeking an experienced mid-level or senior associate (a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience) to join its Business Group. The associate will work with the firm's small and large business clients on sophisticated transactions in a wide variety of industry sectors, and regularly work with talented attorneys across the firm's five offices. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collegial office environment while working with practitioners on matters at a national level.

The successful candidate will have a strong background with entity selection and formation, organizational and governance structures, handling day-to-day matters for small and large businesses, as well as moderate to extensive experience with capital raise transactions covering a variety of private offerings, debt and equity financing from friends and family, angel investors, venture capital funds, syndicates and traditional banks. ?Public company, capital markets, and/or securities is a plus.

Candidates based in the Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA, Portland, OR, or Washington, D.C. areas will be considered. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
