Job description

Director of Enterprise Applications/Application Development - for global law firm in Washington, DC. This position cab also be located in NYC. This position is responsible for leading the Enterprise Applications and the Applications Development team. Candidate will The Director deliver strategic and operational direction for enterprise-wide business data applications, custom applications, web-based technologies, Mobile and Workstation images, ensuring successful user experiences. The Director will implement policies and procedures to ensure projects are delivered with a high degree of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
• Establishing/maintaining relationships with stakeholders across departments and practice groups providing solutions to successfully support specific objectives and plans.
• Ensuring compliance with project management and solution delivery processes which produce on-budget, on-schedule, and quality expectations.
• Leading multiple strategic development projects and programs.
• Participating in the creation of project plans, resource allocation and estimated timelines.
• Design, and implementation of complex end user hardware, software configuration and installation projects.
• Managing M365 solutions and services.
• Supporting secure operations by maintaining anti-virus and endpoint security applications and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Execution and roadmap of a continued cloud strategy for application hosting, data storage, archiving and data recovery.
• Review applicable strategic goals and priorities as related to current and new development projects.
• Developing accountability measures to ensure staff are meeting timelines, working efficiently, and providing a high-level of service delivery.
• Providing leadership/mentoring to staff including skills development, career growth and employee retention.
• Working with staff to properly document workstation images and software package and adjusting the documentation to ensure system reliability.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree. At least ten years' experience managing complex computerized business operations. Progressive managerial responsibilities and managing information technology projects/programs in a multinational, multi offices environment.
• Five years of leading enterprise IT Applications projects in a law firm.
• Seven+ years of managing applications and desktop engineers.
• Five+ years of managing development teams of at least six developers.
• Eight years of managing in a hybrid environment, providing cloud-based and on-premises services and solutions.
• Proven project management success, PMP certification a plus.
• Familiarity with various software packages used by law firms, including document management systems, Microsoft SharePoint, and accounting systems such as Elite and Aderant.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as .Net, SQL Server, Visual Basic.
• Must have in-depth abilities in leading software development and solution delivery.
• Must have strong understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience managing development teams.
• Passion for technology and excellence.
• Motivated self-starter who likes working on very productive teams and is a team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills a must.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
