Job Description:
Palmer is an award-winning staffing agency offering direct hire, temp-to-hire, and temporary placements for administrative, management, executive, legal and more. We represent more than 500 of the finest law firms and legal departments in the DC area. We are currently growing and looking for our next recruiter to join our team. The recruiter scope of work encompasses sourcing qualified candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire positions; maintaining positive relationships with both clients and current assigned temporary employees that are out on assignment, and continuously attracting potential candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with clients on current staffing needs
- Take new job orders from clients for temporary, temp-to hire and permanent positions
- Write job descriptions and post on internet job sites and various web based groups
- Review resumes from ads and job websites
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for entry to upper level and management positions
- Schedule and interview potential candidates and conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate potential candidates- review all paperwork
- Review and communicate with candidates who have already registered and whom are currently on assignment for consideration for current job openings
- Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verifying credentials
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and clients
- Enter and update candidate and client information in Bullhorn - new and existing candidates, job orders. Maintain and update all records as needed.
- Negotiate and maintain accurate contracts
- Serve as a mediator for clients and applicants as well as staff and management regarding personnel issues
- Send weekly candidate check-in emails to candidates
- Send check in emails to clients regarding temps
- Attend job fairs, association meetings to network and bring exposure to our agency (when Covid safe)
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to all position functions.
- Must demonstrate excellent client service skills and ability to work with internal and external personnel.
- Requires both fast turn around and accuracy.
- Must have knowledge of standard business software, such as Microsoft Office.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Prior HR or recruiting exposure preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with personnel of all levels, from junior support staff to C-level executives.
- Must be detail oriented and proactive.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility are essential, as is the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be able to prioritize work appropriately
