Randstad Technologies is looking for a Datacenter Engineer to support our healthcare insurance client in Washington, DC. We are looking for a senior resource who is well versed in data center moves, and has expereince moving large datacenters, working with external vendors, key business stakeholders, and other engineers. This role requires to be local to the DMV area as travel is required occasionaly to the sites as well as Richmond, VA.

responsibilities:

The position requires a "Hands-On" approach, orchestrating and coordinating large-scale efforts for migrating infrastructure, which includes physical and virtual appliances from existing data centers to two greenfield data center locations. The role requires problem solving skills and flexibility to dynamic work environments. You will translate business requirements and technical specifications, input of data solutions and supporting the Data Center Team to organize data at the macro and micro level, creating models of data that enable the implementation of the intended business architecture, create diagrams showing key data entities, and create an inventory of the data needed to implement the architecture vision. The candidate will interact closely with internal Infrastructure teams across multiple workstreams while consulting multiple vendors for developing Infrastructure Data Center documentation. The candidate must have experience in resource management, utilizing risk management and working towards the deployment of a greenfield Data Center environment.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities


- Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.


- Candidate requires resource and vendor management.


- Data migration planning and execution.


- Provide a logical data model with elements and business rules needed for the creation of data quality rules.


- Building strong partnerships with colleagues at all levels, inside and outside the Data.


- Collaborating with other data experts across the entire organization.


- Data Center infrastructure technical experience.


- Work under the direction of, coordinating adds, moves, and changes within the Data Center environments.


- Assist with Data Center scheduled workloads, inspections and documentation associated.


- Candidate requires the ability to present Data Center update documentation, plans and pitfalls to a leadership environment, if applicable.


- Resource planning and plan management with respect to Data Center environments.
