Job description
Market Research Director, Healthcare Practice Area works independently and has overall responsibility for the design, budgeting, scheduling, direction, analysis, and delivery of major research projects. The
Director has a substantial amount of client contact while successfully managing all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research projects from start to finish. This role manages direct reports. This position focuses on research projects for [practice area] clients. Excellence in client service is essential and experience with [practice area] is required.
Responsibilities
Work with clients to design research projects using the optimal qualitative and/or quantitative research methods for each situation and draft proposals accordingly
Write responsive proposals and develop project budgets
Manage project expenses and client invoices and track budget by identifying potential production problems, implementing appropriate corrective action as needed
Serve as the point of contact for clients for marketing/thought leadership and any escalated issues
Independently execute research projects, including full responsibility for questionnaire development, overseeing data collection, weighting, analysis, and reporting; and communicating progress to senior management and clients
Write questionnaires/discussion guides, review client feedback/suggestions and make appropriate changes
Prepare written reports including executive summaries that uncover interesting and actionable insights for clients
Take the lead in analyzing data using SPSS, Excel, and data tabulation books to identify the most important findings/themes for clients
Take the lead in developing client-ready reports in PowerPoint that effectively communicate findings
Present key findings to clients
Conduct in-depth interviews and moderate focus groups
Grow established subject matter area of concentration and develop expertise in area(s) assigned, seeking opportunities to demonstrate knowledge internally and externally
Generate revenue for Greenwald Research by cultivating client relationships and identifying and pursuing opportunities with prospects
Manage direct reports as needed
Assist with other project work as needed

Desired Experience
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience working in a research role (client or supplier side)
College-level coursework in research methods, statistics and/or reporting required
Experience in financial services, employee benefits or health care research required
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint graphics and formatting required
Experience working with data in Excel and SPSS (or similar program) required
Significant experience managing long-term client relationships required
Experience conducting qualitative research preferred
Experience managing direct reports preferred
