POSITION: Records Researcher

LOCATION: Navy Yard and National Archives

SALARY: 38-45K plus competitive full benefits package

START DATE: 2 weeks!

Le'fant is seeking a capable individual to serve as a Records Researcher for the Department of Veteran's Affairs. This role will assist in researching of military records, drafting written responses, completion of data/record collecting, data analysis, and reporting data.

DUTIES:

  • Document handling and accountability; signing out documents, returning documents to proper location.
  • Review records for information pertinent to a Veteran's claim.
  • Conduct independent reviews and be able to participate as part of a team.
  • Quality Assurance, Systems Management, Database IT and management support
  • Review a variety of media/records including but not limited to paper, electronic data, microfilm, microfiche, maps, and hand-written documents at various locations.
  • Comply with NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) policies
  • Required local travel within the National Capital Region
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a bachelors degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • We will train for this position
