Job Description:

PeopleSoft Financials as its production financials application with the following modules: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management. Currently the House is using version 9.2, tools 8.56. The House uses Oracle Access Management and Oracle Virtual Directory single sign-on functionality for PeopleSoft with Active Directory. PeopleSoft is also integrated with several Oracle WebCenter applications including Imaging, Content, Document Capture (ODC), Forms Recognition (OFR), the Oracle SOA Suite, and the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Public Sector Budget and Planning application.

The House is seeking a Functional Specialist to support the House's Purchasing (PO) module, Accounts Payable (AP) module and the Asset Management (AM) module.

The Functional Specialist will support other Procurement related modules such as eProcurement, and the interaction of the purchasing and accounts payable data with the other modules. The focus of the Functional Specialist will provide production support and continued development and testing of PeopleSoft Financials and related applications. Additional responsibilities include making sure the upgrade works with the existing voucher solution. The Functional Specialist will potentially assist with other modules the House is currently using or may implement. The Functional Specialist will assist the PeopleSoft support staff and work directly with the Acquisitions and Accounts Payable staff.

The resource will assist with the PeopleSoft Fluid implementation for scanner and/or phone-based asset disposals and transfer scanning. The resource will assist with asset mobility projects and assist in the 2nd phase of the implementation of the House's IT Asset Management customization. The resource will utilize PeopleSoft Asset Management and business process knowledge to provide details on how the application can be used to meet project objectives. Responsibilities will include running reports, designing and testing new functionality, training, and supporting the project and staff from an application perspective. The resource will also assist the PeopleSoft support team with the continued development, testing, upgrade, and production support of PeopleSoft Financials. In addition to the focus on the Asset Management module and the interaction of the asset data with the other modules, the Functional Specialist will assist with other modules the House is currently using or may implement. The Functional Specialist will assist the PeopleSoft support staff and will work directly with the administrative users of the application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support the implementation of PeopleSoft Fluid for AM,
  2. Assist with evaluating additional functionality and using current functionality in other ways to increase the benefits of the application for the House, especially the Asset Management and Financial staff,
  3. Assist with asset mobility and scanning projects,
  4. Assist with evaluating additional functionality and using current functionality in other ways to increase the benefits of the application for the House, especially the Acquisitions Management and Financial staff, and
  5. Work directly with other consultants from multiple firms working in PeopleSoft and other PeopleSoft related projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge and experience working with the Asset Management module in PeopleSoft Financials with relevant experience in version 9.2,
  2. Knowledge and experience working with the interaction of Asset Management activity with other modules, especially Purchasing,
  3. The other modules the House is currently using: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Accounts Payable, and the Purchasing and eProcurement modules,
  4. Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft reporting tools (nVision, Crystal, PS Query),
  5. Comprehensive knowledge and experience working with the Purchasing and eProcurement modules in PeopleSoft Financials with relevant experience in version 9.2, including the requisition and purchase order workflow approval process,
  6. Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in the Accounts Payable module in PeopleSoft Financials with relevant experience in version 9.2, including the voucher approval workflow process, and
  7. Knowledge and experience working with the interaction of Purchasing and Accounts Payable activity with other modules.
  8. Note: Knowledge and experience with the following is a plus, but not required:
  9. Direct experience supporting fluid functionality using PeopleSoft Financials,
  10. PeopleSoft Financials at a federal entity, and

11. Integrating Scanning solutions with PeopleSoft Financials functionality.
