We have a compelling opportunity for a Business Analyst/Technical lead in support of Treasurys Enterprise Data Management (EDM) program. EDM is looking for a Power BI Dashboard Developer that has full stack on-premises Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) suite experience with a focus on (T-SQL, SSAS Tabular Models, and Power BI Desktop) to support with a new requirement for Office of Recovery Programs (ORP/CARES Data Support. The ORP/CARES Data team is currently responsible for tracking data related to both the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES). ORP is currently manually gathering and compiling data as well as creating analysis to monitor the above efforts. ORP receives data from Salesforce, SAM.gov, and a number of other data sources and has begun setup to receive this information within the EDM environment. EDM has a requirement to support this effort with ORP/CARES within but not limited to the following areas: Enterprise Power BI dashboard development for dashboards hosted on an on-premises Power BI Dashboard Manager Website. Assist ORP data analysist with the EDM Teams BI Development IDE Tool Services via the analytics gateway. Assist ORP customer with using version control software such as GitLab or SVN. Must be able to collaborate affectively with customers to develop clear and achievable Dashboard and Report requirements. Having some SSRS Report development or R and Python scripting experience is a plus. Data ingestion via on-premises SSIS ETL processing performing development in Visual Studios SSDT. Data storage via SQL Database Engine, utilizing T-SQL to create views and stored procedures. Data modeling via SSAS Tabular Models, with an understand of both star and snowflake model schemas. EDM is also in the process of migrating all data and infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. This effort will also require support for ORP as EDM matures through the various phases of migration. Job Duties: Help the customer define and implement an overarching framework to achieve its long-term goals and comprehensive data strategy. Provide a good understanding of the full stack Microsoft Business Intelligence on premise suite of tools with a focus on the Power BI visualization layer. languages and technologies of the Microsoft Power BI, knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques, fundamental understanding of data warehouse concepts, and strong SQL performance tuning skills in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Design and develop new SQL Server Objects like tables, views and stored procedures. Design and develop new dashboards via SSAS tabular models and Power BI Desktop and reports via SSRSs Report Builder IDE. Maintain and configure existing dashboards and reports. Creation of technical documentation. Conduct any necessary testing and validation requirements. Troubleshoot dashboard and BI System issues and provide user support. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and work effectively with employees, subcontractors, and the Treasury staff in a diverse team environment. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with 9 years experience OR Masters Degree with 7 years experience. An additional 4 years experience may be substituted for degree. Minimum 3 years of Power BI Dashboard experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise analytics solutions. Minimum 3 years of working with both T-SQL scripting and SSAS Tabular Models. Experience with both SSRS development and R or Python languages is a plus. Experience in Data Modeling using both start and snowflake model schemas. An understanding of DAX to create model measures and calculated columns is a must. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases (tables, views and stored procedures). Experience writing complex SQL queries, creating views, developing stored procedures, and tuning SQL in a Microsoft environment. Experience working with and creating data architectures. Experience in validating business requirements and translating them into technical design documents. Ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities. Power BI certification. Strong understanding of Power BI data gateway and dataflow. Experience developing dimensional data models and SSAS cubes on SQL Server DB. Experience administering SQL Server Databases. Experience with business logic data validations. Experience working with large datasets. Familiarity with Data Science and R language. Familiarity with Azure platform services. Experience with Mulesoft. Experience with C#, visual basic for scripting. Familiarity with WSUS for automatic patching. Experience working in a Federal environment. Experience working within an agile framework. Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft PowerBI dashboards. Must be available to provide scheduled and ad hoc evening and weekend support.
