Power Platform Product Specialist

As Product Specialist for Microsoft Power Platform services you will convert theory into practical solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The Power Platform Product Specialist will be responsible for the strategic enablement and administration of Power Platform services. This person will be providing mission-critical internal consulting for business inquiries and service delivery team members. In addition to executing customer technology strategies, this Power Platform specialist will act as the point person for overall technical improvement strategy and the introduction of new features. You will own the implementation of new projects by gathering business requirements, converting them into technical requirements, understanding clients' current environments, contributing to strategy development, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Experience with Power Platform administration consoles and the capabilities related to governance and operations management.
• Understand functional capabilities, limitations, and best practices for all Power Platform services, including but not limited to Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Ability to implement, use, and customize the Microsoft Power Platform CoE Starter Kit.
• Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management for the Power Platform services.
• Respond to user requests for access, licenses, provisioning, and support within required SLAs.
• Identify creative ways to meet business requirements using the low-code/no-code capabilities provided by Power Platform or through development of custom code if necessary.
• Understand and leverage Dataverse databases and the use of Common Database Models with the Power Platform services.
• Understand and leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 native configuration and customization toolset, including creation of new security roles and assignment of role-based access controls.
• Understand, implement, and manage On-Premise Data Gateways used with the Power Platform services.
• Have multi-year experience with premium connectors and their implementations.
• Have proficiency in creating and configuring custom connectors for use with PowerApps and Power Automate services.
• Designing and implementing custom solutions that leverage various Office 365 services.
• Familiarity with integration between the Power Platform services such as embedding Power BI Reports within PowerApps solutions, triggering Power Automate flows from Power Apps solutions or Power BI dashboards, and embedding Power Apps visuals within Power BI reports.
• Developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc. to demonstrate the value of solutions and define best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Educate yourself about the current and upcoming capabilities of the Power Platform
• Create innovative solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem to meet customer needs defined by the functional consultant
• Document detailed design requirements and changes for ease of distribution amongst team members
• Provide iterative and ongoing customization, data management, and report writing for customers
• Provide escalated end user support, particularly for error resolution and new development requests

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with Power Platform administration
• Experience customizing database forms, fields, views, workflows, and BI reports/dashboards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Adaptable and agile, able to learn on the job
• High-level problem-solving skills; able to innovate original solutions to complex problems
• You have a Microsoft Power Platform certification (preferred).
• .Net, Power BI. C#, SQL
