Duty Title
Senior Staff for CFO Act Compliance
Tasks
Oversight of Financial Improvement and CFO Act Compliance
Purpose
Oversight for analysis, recommendations, development, and execution of a strategy for CFO Act compliance and Improvements for Air Force classified
programs
Duties may include
Senior oversight of Audit Readiness program which includes;
Document the Business Process and Internal Controls
Substantive and Analytical Procedures
Asset Accountability Implementation
Identify and manage corrective action plans for audit findings
Asset Accountability Implementation Strategy Asset Accountability
Asset Valuation and Tracking
Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for Team Members Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by others
Experience
> 8 years DoD Financials
>4 years Project Management of CFO Compliance including coordination 'between disciplines (e.g. Acquisition, Logistics, Financial Reporting, etc.) in a similar sized enterprise
> 2 years of auditing or audit readiness management experience
Education
4 Year Degree in accounting field or 5+ years' experience in field
Certifications
None required
Security Clearance
Secret/ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI, JAFAN eligible
Other Requirements
In depth knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
In depth knowledge and understanding of GAO Yellow book
In depth knowledge and understanding of FASAB, Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts
Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic AOR
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Ability to develop and perform CFO compliance presentations
Supervisory experience
