Job Description

As a valued leader on our team, you will manage the work of a team designing, producing, testing, or implementing software, technology, or processes, as well as create and maintain IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Functions Technology - Software Engineering - Manager role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities

  • Determine the needs of diverse and complex customer groups requiring applied understanding of strategic issues of importance to the function/initiative.
  • Plan and direct the work of the team as they design and develop software solutions to meet needs.
  • Ensure teams use a process-driven approach in designing solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of new software technology.
  • Oversee the effective and efficient maintenance of existing software.
Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 4 years minimum experience mobile application development in iOS and/or Android
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
Desired Experiences
  • 4+ years of experience with RESTful services
  • 4+ years of managing a development team (team size should be 4 or more)
  • 4+ years of experience with Agile Scrum
  • Experience with managing on/off shore resources
  • Extensive experience in DevOps process in deploying iOS and Android apps to Google and Apple stores leveraging the following tools (Urban Code, Jenkins, Sonar)
  • Highly proficient with XCode (Swift) and Android (Java/Android SDK)
  • Experience with leveraging web services and integrating with MySQL database for integration with CMS
  • Nice to have - Experience in using Content Management Systems, Drupal, WordPress, Adobe.
  • 5+ Years of development using the following development languages and frameworks: Object C, Swift, Kotlin, Java .
Skills
  • The group of skills related to Product Testing including testing and evaluating software, usability testing, UAT, and using relevant product testing technology
  • Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • The group of skills related to Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • The group of skills related to Learning and Training including conducting, developing, and evaluating training, instructional design, and learning management systems
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
  • Experience defining and managing changes to documents, code, computer programs, websites, and other files to enable collaboration and ensure teams are working from the latest version
  • Ability to transform business processes using BPA, RPA, or other technology-enabled automation
  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • The group of skills related to Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Experience identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes
  • The group of skills related to Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
  • The group of skills related to Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
