Shasthra Special Police (DC) / SSI Protection (MD/VA) is currently recruiting a Lieutenant/Watch Commander for our DC Patrol Division

SSI Protection is a minority- and female- owned company based in Alexandria providing security, special police, and concierge services to clients in Maryland, Virginia, and the District.

Start: within 1 week

Work: Night Shift, 8 hours, 2

Nature of Work: 1) Commanding the Patrol Division in DC; 2) acting as Regional Commander for SSI operations in the District of Columbia

Position:

The successful candidate will assume duties as the Lieutenant with the Shasthra Special Police. Duties will include the gamut of supervisory responsibilities from scheduling, compliance, operational command, scene command; site inspections, etc.

In addition to command responsibilities (over DC, generally), the Lieutenant also commands the Patrol Division, which provides randomized patrol "hits" as well as emergency response to select properties.

Requirements:

To be an SSI Officer requires:

- Good character, integrity, and vigilance

- A basic understanding of the law, both civil and criminal

Pre-requisites - candidates MUST have:

-MUST ALREADY HAVE SPO COMMISSION AND BE READY TO WORK!!!!!!

-MUST HAVE COMMAND/SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE (at least 1 year)

-must possess or be able to obtain non-lethal force equipment, such as OC, baton, handcuffs, duty belt, etc.

-First-Aide/CPR/AED certification

-fluency in the English language (second languages are a plus!)

-valid Drivers License (the position requires use of a department vehicle, equipped with blue and white emergency lights)

-high school diploma or GED

-ability/experience to use and operate 1) computer, 2) smart phone, and 3) police-band radio

-be physically able to perform all security and emergency duties without accommodation, due to the emergency nature of the work

INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD REMOTELY, and then be followed up by an in-person interview.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
