Overview

GCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Technical Project Manager to support the Veteran's Experience Technology Platform Services (VETPS) contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Technical PM will be a subject matter expert in product line maturity and technical advisory. Additionally, the role will interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders, so a detailed and analytical mindset with strong communications is important. The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical project management support to data & analytics products, platforms, and data & analytics product line
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation of scaled product line management in DevSecOps and Agile environment, providing technical and advisory analysis and consultation as part of an architectural services group.
  • Create dashboards and reports using Jira, Confluence, and other DevOps tools to report product performance, work in progress, planned work, and support the automation of reporting and deliverables
  • Drive process improvements that support product line maturity by drafting standard operating procedures and participate in the continuous improvement of operating procedures.
  • Develop program wide and group level communications to provide direction to a variety of stakeholders
  • Participate in operations calls (scrums, scrum of scrums) to identify program actions status, risks, and issues.
  • Draft and submit product management deliverables to contract and client leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related financial or business degree
  • Years of Experienced Required: 8
  • Years in Lieu of degree: 4+ years
  • Familiarity with MS Office (word, excel, visio, MS Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Experience with Jira. Experience developing and implementing roadmaps, dashboards and reports, structuring layouts of work in progress and key insights data and links in webpage formats.
  • Experience with Confluence. Experience developing and web pages layouts of data and links in consumable formats.
  • Experience with standard operation procedures and change management
  • Experience working in remote environments
  • Ability to work independently with little to minor guidance
  • Ability to manage new and existing relationships with senior level stakeholders
  • Nice to haves: SAFe, Data Analytics, Cloud Experience/Understanding, Delivery background
