Job description
This can be 100% remote, but applicants must reside in KS, MO, TX, NV, or OK. Nevada and KS will require a hybrid approach (eventually) while TX, OK, and MO can be 100% remote. Unfortunately, no other states are eligible for remote work. There are no opportunities for sponsorship. This role will require applicants to provide examples of work.
We are currently seeking applicants for a Technical Business Analyst. Currently, this is a remote position, however MAY be required at a later date to a hybrid approach (KS/NV). This is a full-time, Monday- Friday position and an opportunity to work as part of an exciting team.
Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Business & Technology teams, understanding the existing systems and business processes Learn existing business processes in order to understand "As Is" state (capabilities and limitations of current functionality) in order to confidently have productive business requirements discussions with stakeholders, and effectively communicate "To Be" state to developers
Gather intelligence from corporate executives, middle managers, and all levels within the business about their needs, specific development requirements, and future growth Work with business stakeholders to derive business requirements by leading requirements-gathering sessions Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the Technology team to include use cases, user stories, BRDs, process flows, wireframes, change requests, and test cases
Analyze, facilitate, model, organize and document information in a clear and concise manner for multiple audiences both technical and non-technical Assist in keeping sprints within scope, on schedule, and updating evolving requirements
Develop and assist in grooming and prioritizing user stories in the product backlog Participate in the validation of system features per functional requirements by facilitating user acceptance activities Develop and execute manual regression, functional, and system level tests based on business requirements Assist with verification testing of requirements, design specifications, technical specifications, and full regression testing documents Identify, log, and track defects discovered during verification system testing
Work closely with UAT to assist in UAT testing and validate that requirements were developed to specification per the business Skills Sharp work ethic, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work within a team environment Self-motivator and able to work with minimal supervision
Able to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines
PLUS SKILLS: Proficient knowledge with Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft suite to include Visio Strong computer skills and knowledge of databases Strong SQL skills is a must - able to read, write, and execute SQL statements and queries Knowledge of API calls Ability to write and execute test cases based on requirements
Ability to effectively write up and communicate bugs to developers Ability to read and understand requirements and know how to test Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture Scrum and agile experience
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or IT required OR 5+ years of relevant Business Analyst and Quality Assurance experience 5+ experience to include project oversight
Solid knowledge of relevant technology concepts (i.e. web applications, mobile applications, data warehouse, APIs, etc.) Understanding of underwriting and experience in FinTech a plus Knowledge and experience in manual testing
