Blu Omega is a Woman Owned Small Business IT services firm located in Washington DC and supporting clients nationally. We provide Technology solutions for enterprise and government customers. Our team has a past performance in a diverse range of programs including those for Data Management, Cloud and Infrastructure, Software Development and Enterprise Applications. This is a 100% remote role.

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Trainer for a Federal Program on a remote basis.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct Business Objects one, two, or three day Virtual Lead Training courses for up to 20 participants. Classes are conducted monthly via WebEx. (Eventually may require travel in Baltimore, MD and to satellite sites across the United States.)
  • Conduct continuing education webinars during monthly forums to highlight and/or introduce best practices and functionality as well as address common End User pain points and problems
  • Articulate, simplify, and communicate complex business and technical functions to audiences with different levels of expertise
  • Collaborate directly with End-Users, client, and project team to develop end-user Business Objects training and reference materials
  • Perform pre training activities to include testing, ensuring training materials and use-case scenarios are accurate and up to date
  • Assist with training material development as needed.
  • Incorporate post training Level 1 and Level 2 course evaluation feedback into future course delivery
  • Complete training reports for each class session
  • Train, coach and mentor other project and training team members
  • Job may require travel up to 10% if travel resumes. To be determined on a case by case basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics software platforms such as SAP Business Objects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and delivering technology and software training, both ILT and VILT classroom formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Certified Trainer from organizations such as Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD) International Federation of Training and Development Organization, Bob Pike, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), United States Distance Learning Association
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite, MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, and SharePoint
  • Experience with BI data, specifically Medicare/Medicaid Systems and Fraud/Waste/Abuse (FWA)
  • Experience with Data analysis of transforming and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information.
