Storable is looking for a Business Analyst, Insurance to work within our Business Operations team in supporting the sales, marketing, and service efforts related to our Insurance business.

The core of this role is centered around independently, proactively, and expertly leading the advancement of our insurance operations by applying one's skillset to the analytical, process, project, and system needs of our hyper-growth Insurance product.

What you will do every day:

  • Work with internal customers to analyze business needs and align the Business Operations roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories to ready them for solutioning.
  • Recommend, scope, and work to implement changes to processes or systems to improve the efficiency, measurability, or effectiveness of day-to-day operations.
  • Drive projects to successful completion by developing business cases, capturing and prioritizing requirements, exploring those requirements, diagramming workflows, creating knowledge for the project team and stakeholders, and deploying deliverables to the company.
  • Own the development and delivery of Insurance KPIs to the senior leadership team.
  • Independently discover, forecast, measure, and present the impact of pricing changes, new sales strategies, and other margin-impacting activity.
  • Make prioritization decisions and communicate trade-off analysis to stakeholders to stay focused on delivering the most important value to the business at any given time.
  • Comfort working with and combining multiple data sets that may not have a unique identifier between them
  • Create operational reports and dashboards weekly so the Insurance team can make informed decisions
  • Proactively stay up to date with product features and process changes that affect insurance performance and implement reporting adjustments to monitor these changes.

What you need to bring to the table

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager.
  • An ability to coordinate, organize, and execute on objectives with minimal oversight.
  • Extreme proficiency in Excel. Experience using advanced Excel functions, visualization methods, and macros required.
  • Expert proficiency with CRM tools (for ex. Salesforce, Zoho) including a technical understanding of objects, formula fields, picklists, flows, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Expert understanding of a deal lifecycle from a business and systems perspective, and a history of improving that lifecycle through process enhancements.
  • Expert proficiency in Agile methodologies including project management, backlog management, and iterative development.
  • A history of project management achievements revolving around migrations, integrations, automation, analytics, or process improvements.
  • A highly effective note-taking and organization strategy for capturing information for oneself and one's team.
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically with Salesforce's reporting system and database data sets, to solve business problems.
  • Experience using Tableau for KPI Dashboards.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience, comfort, and effectiveness presenting to senior and executive leaders.
  • Comfort conducting prioritization and tradeoff conversations with stakeholders.
  • Comfort leading several meetings a week amongst your peers and/or stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and nimbleness - Storable is a fast-moving company, so our sales tactics, product offerings, and overall strategy might pivot. We're looking for someone who is excited by rapid growth and eager to adapt our processes accordingly.

  • Salesforce administration certification
  • Agile, Scrum, or other project management certification
  • SQL, Visual Basics for Applications, Python, and/or R experience
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry, particularly relationships between agencies, carriers and claims management
