POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Contribute to the development of and maintain the tone of voice of LiveTrends Design Group and its various brands (LiveTrends Design, Urban Jungle and Be You), and write/ edit copy for various marketing materials, such as catalogs, product stories, web pages, social media posts, advertising pieces, blogs, email blasts and video scripts.



. Requirements:

Branding

  • Work with the marketing team to identify and outline the tone of voice of the company and its brands.
  • Ensure that all copy accurately reflects the established tones of voice and is consistent throughout.
  • Support the refinement of brand statements and taglines.
  • Adapt existing copy to the new tones of voice.

Product Stories

  • Craft unique, relevant stories for our products to be used in catalogs and merchandising materials based off artistic direction, design process, and self-guided research.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to name products and collections.
  • In collaboration with the assigned videographer, draft scripts needed for video content, including catalog videos.

Catalogs

  • Work with Senior Graphic Designer to fill in copy needed for product catalogs.
  • Write trend descriptions and summaries to educate buyers, based on research done by the marketing team.

Digital Marketing

  • Write / edit copy for LiveTrends Design Group's websites including product stories, keywords, blogs, promotional material, plant care, FAQ, etc.
  • Write content for social media posts, giveaways, and events.
  • Work closely with Senior Graphic Designer to draft copy for email campaigns, Facebook ads, and other digital content needed.

Support to other Departments

  • Write or revise forms and documents for sales and accounting teams so they adhere to our brand standards and guidelines (ex: introductory letters to new buyers, ACH forms etc.)
  • Support the Human Resources team by drafting / editing materials such as amendments to employee handbook and onboarding forms to reflect LiveTrends Design Group's identity, as needed.

SPECIFIC SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in EWM or creative writing from an accredited university.
  • 2 years minimum professional experience in copy writing.
  • Well-versed and up to date on APA format.
  • A creative soul with a knack for getting the point across in a unique and concise manner.
  • Adaptable with the ability to write in a variety of styles and voices.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Organized multitasker who is able to adapt to last minute changes or challenges.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Solid ability to understand and follow brand and corporate identity standards.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with consumer research, CRM, and engaging different audiences for different brands is a plus.
  • Please attached a portfolio of copy samples showing your strengths, versatility, and style.
