Job description

The Hilton Boca Raton Suites is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their winning team! The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of routine Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier, and other General Accounting duties. This position reports to the General Manager and Corporate Finance Department.

JOB DUTIES:
• Receives, reviews, posts, codes and pay all hotel invoices on a timely basis according to vendor terms and the weekly check run schedule
• Ensures compliance with Company purchasing policy and PO process
• Print reports and reconciles statement on a monthly basis, resolving any discrepancies
• Post checks, EFT and credit cards deposits according to SOP
• Handling all A/R Billing and obtains Credit Approvals
• Researches and responds timely to charge backs, returns and bad checks
• Balance on a daily basis cash, credit cards, city ledge and other revenue related accounts on spreadsheets and systems
• Retrieve deposits from drop safe and does daily deposits, completing over/short reports
• Maintains contracts for individual banks and issues cash handling policies
• Maintain a running bank balance
• Complete daily income audit and revenue journal to ensure timely and accurate hotel financials
• Review all work transferred by night audit from the guest ledger to the city ledger
• Responsible for the preparing and distributing the daily and weekly account reports
• Assist Corporate Finance with any month end close, balance sheet reconciliations or any other special projects
