Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for the sales growth, retention of customers, customer satisfaction, profitability, operational controls, health and safety performance and regulatory compliance. The function of this position is to successfully achieve financial goals and objectives of the division.

Major Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of direct reports including office support, outside sales and CDL Drivers.
  • Assign and monitor clerical and administrative responsibilities and tasks among office staff. Allocate available resources to enable successful task performance. Co-ordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Assign or delegate responsibilities to employees within department. Evaluate and manage staff performance. Coach, mentor and discipline staff. Manage internal staff relations.
  • Design and implement office policies and procedures. Oversee adherence to office policies and procedures. Analyze and monitor internal processes. Implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Work with CFO and Director of Operations regarding the budget and financial planform the department. Prepare forecasting of budgets annually to set goals and expectations.
  • Promote products and maintain the coordination with sales personnel. Develop, implement and review goals nonincreasing sales, growth and profitability. Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
  • Determine margins for products to capitalize profitability
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all allocations are met and request additional product if needed.
  • Coordinates exemption requests with ND Petroleum Marketers Association when drivers experience long lines or loading, and customer supply is exhausted.
  • In the event of a fuel shortage and a blanket Driver exemption notification is provided by the State to exceed the daily hours, the Branch Manager would coordinate with Marketing Manager and Dispatchers to disseminate deliveries
  • to Drivers to meet customer needs and communicates with management and the Safety Department to ensure Driver safety
  • Maintain and uphold customer relationships to maximize profitability. Resolve customer's complaints and inquiries.
  • Meet with existing customer to evaluate satisfaction and determine future needs.
  • Identify potential customers and initiate meetings to promote products and services. Assist to identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of organizational objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with SPF Energy's policy and procedure

Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for ensuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to SPF Energy. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.
  • Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related field OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent paired with 5 or more years of experience in business management or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7years of management experience
  • Proven skills in business and financial management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight
  • A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve the business results and/or profitability
  • Record of success driving an efficient and profitable department
  • Proven ability to understand the needs of business accounts and converting those needs into sales
  • Experience in designing and managing expected operating budgets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
