AS THE FOUNDATION COORDINATOR, works with the Foundation Director to develop and implement fundraising, programming, and marketing strategies for the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF). You will prepare reports, write articles for publications, and promote and conduct speaking engagements. This position has significant interaction with credit unions and credit union vendors in our tri-state area.
In the Foundation Coordinator role, you will also be responsible for:
* Working closely with the SECUF Director to create annual fundraising and programming goals.
* Ensuring SECUF Fundraising goals are met with a specific focus on Florida.
* Implementing Foundation programs including financial counselor certification, professional development grant program, disaster relief grant program, and employee financial wellness initiative in Florida.
* Researching, developing, and successfully implementing new programs and resources for the Foundation.
* Working collaboratively with Marketing & Communications teams to increase Foundation awareness.
* Preparing and delivering reports to the Board of Trustees at quarterly meetings, as needed.
* Delivering presentations on Foundation initiatives to member credit unions, chapters, and the community.
* Training credit union employees on the programs and resources available through the Foundation.
* Developing relationships with member credit unions, industry partners, and outside stakeholders.
* Assisting with disaster preparedness and response efforts as needed.
* Assisting with other SECUF initiatives as needed, including assistance with planning and execution of fundraising events.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR FOUNDATION COORDINATOR
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in communications, public administration, or closely related field preferred.
* Two years of nonprofit or credit union experience required.
* Ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective public speaking skills.
* Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise manner.
* Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
TRAVEL:
* Frequent travel, mainly within Florida.
* A valid driver's license is required.
* Airline travel is required.
