Under limited supervision, directs and coordinates human resources (HR) activities to include employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, HRIS administration, site-specific oversight of HR activities, and employee services. Partners with executive management for policy development, corporate objectives, and employee communications. Directs activities of HR staff. Reports to the Sr. VP of Human Resources. This position is located in the Cape Canaveral, FL Office and will support the Advance Medical Solutions (AMS) Business Unit.
Responsibilities
* Directs personnel actions to include employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, HRIS administration, and site-specific oversight of HR employee services activities
* Champions the development and implementation of policies and procedures that strategically align HR functions and responsibilities with corporate and organizational goals
* Partners with executives and management on organizational effectiveness; advises on full spectrum of business activities from an HR perspective, building and maintaining effective personal relationships
* Oversees the implementation, analysis, maintenance, and communication of HR service delivery and initiatives
* Champions employee development across the organization.
* Consults with appropriate counsel regarding legal actions, employee disciplinary matters, and claims against individuals or the company as necessary
* Leads regularly scheduled team meetings to ensure open, two-way communication at all times and spearheads the ongoing communication of HR with partner/liaison departments to include Finance, Contracts, etc.

Edited #4]Develops and mentors HR team members from a career perspective ensuring annual appraisals are completed in a timely manner, goals and work plans are collaboratively (where applicable) and consistently implemented and executed, performance issues are addressed fairly and appropriately, and consulting with management/corporate support as appropriate.
* May lead or participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.
* Supports bid and proposal efforts as requested.
* May travel for client meetings, presentations, onsite HR efforts, etc. Travel less than 10%.
* Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy. Participates and supports safety meetings, training and goals. Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility. Encourages co-workers to work safely. Identifies "close calls" and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
* Assists in active implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations/standards.
* May serve on the OSHA VPP, Safety, and Wellness Committees.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in business or HR or equivalent, relevant work experience. Must have at least five (5) years of leadership experience in HR demonstrating progressively more responsible, managerial responsibility in HR
* SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR certification desired
* Must have experience working in a government contracting environment
* Experience working with geographically separated employees with international experience preferred
* Strong skills with computer and common office equipment, to include all Microsoft Office products
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Superior oral and written communication skills and presentation skills to include good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees to include superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
* Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
* Ability to research and analyze various types of data
* Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
* Ability to organize and prioritize work
