GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

There are four (4) positions available

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT CITY OF CAPE CORAL EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO APPLY.

This is a seasonal position which includes weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings.

FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED: Yes

* Provides skilled emergency/safety work involved inthe prevention of injuries or deaths.
* Interacts well with the public.
* Exercises mature judgment and decision making.
* Responsible for dispatching attractions, rule enforcement, cleaning and maintenance of facility.
* Attends mandatory in-service training and meetings.
* Requires standing for long periods of time and working in the elements.
* Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

Individuals assigned to this classification must report to work per their assigned schedule. Parks and Recreation staff must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Attending or completion of High school/ GED preferred.
* Lifeguard Certification training provided at no cost.
* Employment begins after successful completion of 32-hour training course.
* One (1) year of lifeguard experience preferred.
