Job description

We are looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties as well as overseeing the front desk administrative duties. The HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating interviews and meetings to maintaining our employee database to answering phones and directing customers along with other projects as needed. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, applicants, and customers ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.

The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of Human resources as well as administrative responsibilities. He/she will be able to work autonomously and effectively to ensure the day to day HR projects and operations are completed. Ultimately, you'll ensure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, etc.)
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures.
  • Coordinate with our HR onboarding specialist on applicants, candidates and/or assist with scheduling interviews.

Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practice.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
  • Experience with an HR databases and/or time and attendance software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in Human Resources or related years of experience in human resources.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
