POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and enabling a people ecosystem around moments that matter - delivering value at every touchpoint by ensuring the implementation of the People Strategy for the organization.
The Human Resources Director will be a transparent and trustworthy leader with demonstrated success in a role that involves communication and development. This person will have an innate understanding of people, and a drive to constantly improve; a real outgoing people-person with integrity and a desire to work in a very dynamic and constantly evolving environment that thrives on building up culture.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Human Resources Director will run the daily functions of the Human Resources department including overseeing the onboarding process, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Puts an emphasis on guiding, training, and mentoring their HR team members.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Performs other duties as required.
CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Skilled at coaching, consulting, conflict management, and building collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.
- Ability to forecast future organization needs including departmental strategies, future personnel needs, and culture additions.
- Strong facilitation and decision-making skills, including ability to negotiate, influence, and maintain ethical practices.
- Must be comfortable challenging the status quo, asking tough questions, and is politically savvy.
- Must be an innovative problem solver with project management, change management, and possess organizational skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Previous proven success in leading and mentoring a team of HR professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and practices.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sits onsite Monday-Friday in Clearwater, FL
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
