We are committed to our mission to improve lives because, every day, we witness the enormous impact of our efforts on the world around us.The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the Supply Chain department, included but not limited to Purchasing, Planning, Kitting and Material Handling for the Saint-Gobain Clearwater/Largo/Bryan Dairy production plants. Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for inventory accuracy, establish and execute a new cycle count program, keep QAD accurate and create and execute inventory reduction plansEssential FunctionsHelp in the creation, documentation and implementation of a new cycle count program and be the primary executor of the cycle counts.Make all necessary inventory transfer moves in QAD to adjust inventory and correct inventory status. Write up all necessary move tickets and inventory adjustment sheets and submit for approval to make the corrections needed to maintain an accurate inventory.Perform inventory analysis to identify over-stocked, slow moving or dead inventory to support the inventory reduction process. Utilize MRP to help planning and purchasing to spot any potential inventory shortages for future orders, or discover orders placed at too high a level or for delivery dates that are either sooner than necessary or later than required.Analyze and cycle count MRO items. Especially stocking levels for the planned Kanban system for MRO items. Ensure replenishment occurs on time with inventory levels staying within the new established guidelines.Required QualificationsEducation LevelHigh School Diploma RequiredExperience Experience Details 3 - 5 years experience Inventory, Warehousing, Scheduling in a Manufacturing corporation -RequiredDetail oriented, ability to accurately count and document inventory of parts and FG -RequiredInventory analytics, min/max, safety stock and QAD Experience a plus - RequiredAPICS Certification Upon Hire - PreferredCPIM Certification Upon Hire - PreferredCompany SummarySaint-Gobain's innovations touch almost every major industry around the world.
