Job description

Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Partner will direct efforts to source, select, and hire qualified sales, customer service, accounting, design, and technical candidates for GSP. The position recruits nationally and is responsible for all salaried hiring. Incumbent sources and develops strategies to attract and retain talent. Responsibilities include creating and executing a comprehensive sourcing and recruitment marketing strategy for open positions. The incumbent will manage the ATS and produce reports documenting activities and results. The incumbent will partner with department managers and supervisors to understand the needs and roles to be filled as well as assist with the development and revision specifications and job descriptions for salaried positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sources quality candidates utilizing current on-line sourcing techniques, networking, and building pipelines nationwide
  • Post jobs using a variety of resources to attract candidates
  • Makes contact and provides ongoing communication with candidates to create and maintain interest in the position. Builds pipelines of candidates for the open positions
  • Recruits, interviews, and recommends qualified candidates
  • Refers pre-qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Establishes and utilizes relationships with community groups, referrals, and other candidate sources as needed
  • Seeks out and recommends sources of candidates including the Internet, colleges, job fairs, technical schools, etc.
  • Establishes strong relationships with hiring managers, including executives.
  • Manages candidate information via Applicant Tracking System & HRIS
  • Manages recruiting activities such as scheduling interviews, assisting and/or coordinating candidate travel
  • Coordinates onboarding and scheduling of training and orientation, and scheduling of pre-employment assessments, background checks, drug testing, IT, and travel
  • Develops and delivers accurate weekly and monthly reporting on recruitment metrics and selection activities
  • Creates candidate information in HRIS, delivers offer letters, and provides ongoing communication internally and externally as needed
  • Creates job descriptions
  • Assists with the relocation program
  • Calculates salaries against the varied markets where GSP competes for talent
  • Conducts training as needed 1:1, small groups, or hiring managers on best practices, employment law, trends, and candidate selection
  • Manages and communicates biweekly Internal Job Posting
  • Manages local job fairs and hiring events
  • Provides budgetary oversight for all recruiting activities. Recommends cost savings based on trends and annual budget
  • Develops, negotiates, and manages contracts with 3rd party vendors/agencies related to recruiting (background checks, drug tests, ATS, job boards, assessments, staffing agencies)
  • Collaborates with marketing and design to promote GSP brand through multiple sites and social media

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in an exempt and non-exempt recruiting environment preferred
  • Recruiting experience in the retail, sales, IT, technical, operations, and production industries
  • Experience recruiting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  • Strong sourcing skills with demonstrated successes utilizing current on-line sourcing techniques, networking, and building pipelines. Utilization of market intelligence to source talent
  • Comprehensive behavioral-based interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • Strong consultative and relationship building skills to support managers and convert candidates
  • Experience with pre-employment assessments/profiles
  • Strong communication skills, including consultation, collaboration, and influence
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and practices and ability to conduct training to multiple levels of management both onsite and remotely
  • Proficient in conducting onboarding, webinars or training via Teams or Zoom
  • Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Organization/time management skills, and detail orientation
  • Active in community organizations and outreach
  • Technical capabilities: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRIS
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit aligned with GSP values
