Position SummaryThe Quality Engineer will ensure that the quality standards of the company are maintained within the SGPPL Clearwater procedures, policies, purchased components and manufactured products. He / She will participate in and may lead complaint investigations, CAPA investigations, lead supplier audits, drive supplier quality, conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement projects throughout the plant. He / She may be support any facility expansions, software validations, equipment qualifications and / or process validations required to support existing / new processes. The Quality Engineer will participate in third party audits and conduct training when needed. Implementation, maintenance and control of systems & practices, which monitor, assess, and approve the quality of materials and products at all stages of production. Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and facilitating continuous quality improvement objectives, primarily cGMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 for the manufacturing location, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Clearwater. May serve as the delegate for the Quality Manager.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science/ Relevant field is required. Strong background and experience in quality systems (ISO-9001, 21 CFR Part 820, cGMP, ISO 13) and quality tools (SPC, Statistical Analysis, etc.) Strong technical writing and investigative skills. Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word. 3-5 years' experience in a Manufacturing Environment (ISO or GMP Environment) preferred. Completion of an audit course preferred. Continuous Improvement (WCM, Lean, Kaizen) green belt training or higher preferred.
