Reports to: General Superintendent / Superintendent
Position: Full time
Schedule: The job schedule will rotate every 3 weeks from day shift to night shift and will be two weeks 6 Days, 6 shifts; third week 4 Days, 4 shifts
Job Summary:
The Foreman will oversee and manage construction shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Trains and manages equipment operators and laborers on the assigned shift.
• Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
Responsibilities of this Position:
• Responsible for Site Safety. Ensuring the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors, as well as manage compliance with established site rules and company safety policies
• Oversees production operations on assigned shift
• Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment
• Ensures completion of work within time schedule and budget
• Troubleshoots issues that arise
• Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems
• Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Ability to foster a team environment
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of related experience as foreman on construction sites preferred
• Ability to work independently and on a team
