Our Company is seeking:
An experienced and highly motivated Property Manager for our Affordable Housing Community of 172 units, in Dania Beach, FL.

Requirements:

  • Must have 2 or 5 years' experience as a tax credit property manager
  • College degree preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Must have experience with Low Income Housing
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of multifamily property management including but not limited to Fair Housing laws and regulations, Tax Credit, Affordable Housing, Section 8, resident relations, leasing, rent collections, eviction procedures, accounting principles and the use of accounting software and property safety
  • Must have a demonstrated mastery of sales, marketing, financial and management skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the financial goals of the property and make sure the property meets those goals; understand his or her responsibility for maintaining the property's that residents are served well and satisfied with the community
  • Maintain strong resident relations
  • Provide excellent customer service so that residents want to move into the property and remain there
  • Market the property through community outreach and by focusing on target markets
  • Oversee the leasing of apartments and ensure that occupancy rates are maintained
  • Direct property operations and staff in the most cost effective manner
  • Develop and manage outreach program
  • Process new applications, re-certifications and provide required information to compliance
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Supervise rent collection, rent ledgers, bank deposits and petty cash records
  • Pursue delinquent rents and evictions and provide required information to Collection Company
  • Supervise resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations
