Seeking LPN or RN with active license to provide care for my mother in Eustis, Florida.

Mom usually goes to Florida in late November and comes home early to mid-May. My sister lives close to her and assists with her care. However, Mom has a progressive neurological condition and needs more care. She uses an electric wheelchair and requires assistance with all transfers and ADL's. She does not have any significant cognitive impairments, however, and she has goals she enjoys accomplishing. If someone is there to be her hands and feet, she can feel much more fulfilled. Therefore, the caregiver needs to be willing to do unusual things a nurse does not usually do, such as pull weeds, clean, cook, assist with phone calls, or any goals my mom would like to accomplish. We are seeking a nurse, not just an aide, because Mom's neurological condition has been progressing more rapidly the last couple of years. When she comes home from Florida, she is worse. I am a registered nurse, and I need a professional to monitor her condition and advise when to seek treatment. Her asthma also needs monitored. I would like this person to accompany her to doctor appointments and therapy sessions and assist her with therapy at home. I need someone to help her at home with transferring in a way that will preserve her physical abilities as much as possible. In addition, we expect a professional nurse is more likely to treat Mom with dignity and respect. We would like someone full-time, but part-time is acceptable. Though all the duties are not nursing duties, your time with Mom will be reimbursed in a way that is commensurate with your education and experience.
