The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing team and have a strong preference for this position to be based at our worldwide corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for clarifying and translating product vision into units of work for consumption by the application development team supporting our SaaS based Cloud Management Platform, Centricity.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist in the creation, support and enhancement of software products and features which includes ideation, participating in client feedback sessions, staying up to date on competitive analysis, writing stories, creating mockups, responding to client inquiries, and working with the teams to ensure products are working as desired
- Act as the product expert to drive plans to revise, streamline or sunset a product
- Troubleshoot and test products and feature enhancements with appropriate teams
- Collaborate closely teams on new features, ensuring business and customer needs are met and exceeded; deliver new enhancements on time and on budget
- Lead the prioritization and backlog of feature requests, conduct scoping estimates and be a primary point of contact for technical teams
- Take ownership of the product by staying up to date on competitors, related AWS products, how we can make Centricity an easy choice for our target market
- Ship valuable, timesaving, revenue-generating features quickly to Centricity users
- Be the glue between development, sales, marketing and management so you can have the full picture of where the product is at as well as where it will be and when
- As the voice of the product, when communicating aim to be at a happy medium between technical implementation and business detail
- Write communications so that all of the applicable CloudHesive business stakeholders understand what the product requirements are actual asking for, which tasks are planned, refined, developed, tested and which have been completed
- Constant testing of your product to help uncover issues before testing, explore creative improvements and more
Is this role for you?
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and/or 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with agile planning and execution, preference given to candidates with Scrum Product Owner certification
- Self-motivated with strong task and time management skills
- Ability to illustrate thoughts by way of mockups, high fidelity prototypes, pencil and pare, or any modern tool for rapid design, a visual representation of what is being handed to developers
- Superior communication and analytical skills, including a strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and in small team environments
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills coupled with a collaborative approach
- Comfortable with general cloud-computing concepts and services (e.g., AWS)
- Understanding of enterprise level software design and software products
- Familiarity with the full software development life cycle (e.g., Scrum and Kanban)
- Periodically engage with the technical community via Pull Requests, Blog Posts, Social Media, Webinars, Meet Ups, etc.
- Attain and/or Retain relevant Certifications
- Commit to continuous learning via reading technical documentation, participating in Webinars or other such events
