Job description

Description:

ABOUT US:

GameStop is currently going through a massive transformation from traditional retailer to e-commerce powerhouse. Our commitment to this change is manifesting itself through strategic investments in technology, leveraging digital assets, modernizing our fulfillment operations and diversifying our product offerings. It's a huge undertaking and we need smart people who want to dive into complex problems, providing solutions which contribute to our end goal.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WORK HERE?

The guiding force that defines our approach to everything we do is our operating principles. At the center we put our customers first, ensuring that all ideas and strategies are in place to delight them. We work with intensity and value execution over ideas. Our pace is 10x faster, we push for acceleration and don't settle for typical timelines. We remove complexities and inefficient processes to keep things simple and we measure what matters. We think like owners and treat all facets of the business is if it were our own including money and time. Building the best teams are expected, creating a performance bar where high performers are challenged and want to stay. Finally results will drive relationships - not the other way around.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Building, managing and leading a strong team of recruiters who understand marketplace dynamics, while providing superior customer service to both internal clients and external candidates.
  • Provide strategic competitive intelligence on market movements as well as compensation and benefits trends.
  • Compile hiring plans, devise recruitment strategies to meet those plans and pivot when needed if desired outcomes aren't achieved.
  • Evaluate and assist in the rebuilding of TA processes, keeping our internal clients and candidates at the center of design.
  • Assist with building of a new employment brand and candidate value proposition, telling our story in a compelling manner that will attract top talent.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with key partners in the organization including our clients, partners in HR, Compensation and Systems.
  • Recruit on executive level searches when needed.

WHAT A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE LOOKS LIKE:

  • You are resilient, have grit and get things done. We appreciate people who don't overcomplicate things, have a bias for action, can think strategically but know how tactics will land operationally.
  • It's in your DNA to work hard, to be detailed, to think two steps ahead and to be aware of any pro's and con's of decisions you make downstream.
  • You've worked in a fast paced, tech environment, understand urgency and thrive in ambiguity.
  • You've managed and inspired large scale TA teams. You're balanced in your approach and keep the team accountable in a fair and respectful manner, with a proven track record of developing people.
  • You are collaborative with other teams and can influence and have impact without authority.
  • You have at least 10+ years of TA experience, 5 of which you have managed teams. However, it's not the number of years that matters, it's the situations you've been through and experienced that matters.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
