Job description
Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, permanent opening for an ASCP certified Histotechnologist in Ft. Myers. The right candidate will start next month!
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
+ Produce the highest quality of embedding, microtomy, tissue grossing, processing, and staining
+ Conduct variety of histology procedures accurately
+ Research, troubleshoot, and resolve histology related inquires within the lab
+ Perform both QA and QC activities, after training is completed
+ Other tasks as requested
You are an excellent fit if you meet the following qualifications:
+ Must have current FL Medical Laboratory Professional license
+ Must have ASCP HT or HTL certification (or very close to obtaining)
+ AS/BS in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology
+ Completion of 1-year internship or long-term training program within a Histopathology lab
+ Anatomic pathology or IHC experience, given preference
+ Good visual acuity and be able to distinguish colors
+ Above average communication skills
+ Able to lift up to 50 lbs
There are multiple shifts/days to choose from. Hourly pay will range between $27-$36/hr., based on years of experience. Candidates will also receive 16 days of PTO plus company-paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, insurance options, 401k match, and various opportunities for growth.
