Advertising Marketing Manager
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking a dynamic and experienced Advertising Marketing Manager to support the multichannel advertising efforts of the GMCVB, in collaboration with the VP, Marketing & Tourism and Chief Operating Officer. This position coordinates the execution of paid campaigns and is a key liaison for the GMCVB's creative partners and assists in the management of the performance of paid media advertising across digital and traditional communication channels. The role also supports the maintenance of brand standards for all departments, including trade show design.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Processes all department invoices to ensure expenses are attributed to correct budgets, maintaining budget forecasts and expense tracking, as well periodic reconciliation of reports with the accounting system.
- Manage day-to-day relationship of GMCVB's agency of record to oversee direct advertising staff in developing unique campaigns and perform daily review and approvals of creative deadlines.
- Works with VP, Marketing & Tourism and advertising agencies to design effective co-op advertising programs that attract partner commitment.
- Creates sales presentations and commitment forms for GMCVB co-op programs, disseminates program details to partners, collects commitments, coordination of program creative assets between participating partners and agencies, proofing of creative and invoicing of partners.
- Participate in campaign kick-off and wrap-up meetings.
- Ensure advertising campaigns are inclusive of GMCVB's DEI process.
- Creates and updates performance reports containing marketing activity and KPI's/metrics.
- Attends weekly status meetings and provides feedback and recommendations for advertising programs.
- Interfaces with Content team to coordinate promotions and special offers for partner programs as well as use GMCVB's E-CRM tool to create and deploy marketing program communication with partners.
- Prepares and summarize departmental activities in Powerpoint presentations and Executive/Board Reports using information from agency and staff reports.
- Composes and distributes correspondence and other written communications.
- Utilizes the GMCVB's research data subscription tool, ADARA to monitor impressions, bookings and overall impacts of GMCVB campaigns.
- Fields and routes inquiries from advertising representatives and GMCVB stakeholders.
- Ensure that any new assets captured through photo shoots, video production are part of the GMCVB in-house Digital Library (photos, videos, digital files, etc.)
- Supports GMCVB's Social Media strategy and programs through paid efforts.
- Assists in or coordinates planning of meetings and major events by scheduling locations and services, setting up conference calls, preparing agendas, inviting attendees, distributing communications and arranging set-up.
- Interacts with advertising agencies, fulfillment houses, publications, printers, and industry partners.
- Completes expense reports for Advertising/Marketing department.
- Monitor brochure call center functions and expenses.
- Monitor promotional item inventory levels, fulfillment, and restocking.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Advertising Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, in advertising, marketing, or related field.
Minimum two years experience in relevant field; some management experience preferred.
Understanding of design and marketing principles and techniques.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, especially when working multiple projects or teams.
Excellent management, listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships.
Decisiveness and strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
Strong administrative abilities, attention to detail, good writing skills and an eye for good design.
Demonstrated strong Microsoft Office efficiency including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Solid presentation skills to prepare and make presentations, reports, graphs & charts and integrate data from various software programs. Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent collaboration with co-workers, marketing agencies, internal departments, service providers, and customers in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and prioritization.
Strong ability to work in a team environment.
Analytical skills to process new information.
Although work is performed under established guidelines, the Advertising Marketing Manager has input in the establishment of policies and rules affecting the job.
