Job Summary

The Acquisitions Associate/Analyst will be a work directly with Company partners to source & analyze potential multifamily, hospitality, and commercial real estate acquisitions.

Job Responsibilities

• Create & maintain relationships with brokers, property owners, and other potential deal sources.
• Utilizing relationships to obtain both on & off market multifamily, hospitality, and commercial acquisition opportunities.
• Touring properties with deal sources and conducting direct market research.
• Underwriting & analyzing multifamily and commercial properties and making acquisition recommendations.
• Maintaining a solid understanding of the specific market fundamentals that may impact the areas we are looking to acquire assets.
• Providing support as needed throughout the acquisition & disposition cycle.
• Review P&L statements, rent rolls, and tax statements; research and analyze demographic, economic, and real estate market data to recognize market trends in order to support all underwriting assumptions with a high level of certainty.
• Communicate with those parties familiar with the asset and market (investment sales brokers, lenders, property managers, tax advisors, attorneys, appraisers, and other third-party service providers).
• Participate in investment committee meetings.
• Maintain detailed pipeline of potential new investments to be reviewed on a weekly basis.
• Prepare investor memorandums for new acquisitions.
• Assist in the due diligence and closing processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study (business, finance, real estate, economics).
• A minimum of 2 years' experience and/or training as a multifamily / commercial analyst or related experience in multi-family and commercial acquisitions. Brokerage 2 years preferred.
• Documented knowledge of real estate cash flow modeling using Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to network and build strong relationships within the Industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently present information and interface with company leadership.
• Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
• Be able to recognize and analyze trends in financial statements.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
