Job description
The Recreation Department is open 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday so we are in need of full-time Lifeguards to cover various shifts, primarily afternoons/evenings.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for safeguarding patrons visiting the Seminole Tribe of Florida aquatics facilities or when engaged in a STOF activity at any public aquatics facility. Ensures orderly behavior of patrons; prevents injury or loss of life of the patrons who are swimming or bathing; rescues those who might be in distress and performs water rescue and prevention techniques, first aid, and CPR. Duties also include a variety of maintenance tasks.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Current American Red Cross Life Guard Training certification and current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification are required. Prior experience as lifeguard is preferred. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
