Job description

Overview: OSO Capital Management ("OSO Capital"), a Jacksonville Beach-based private investment office, is seeking to hire a Private Equity Analyst to join the team. OSO Capital manages the overall investment strategy for a Jacksonville-based high net-worth family. The office focuses on investing a permanent capital base across public and private equity, real estate, and other private market investments. OSO Capital's investments span a wide variety of industries, with concentrations in industrial agriculture, marine transportation, industrial supply, real estate, healthcare, wellness technology, automotive and CAD software, sports and entertainment, among others. This individual will actively engage in all aspects of research, acquisitions, and portfolio management under general supervision from the leadership team.

Responsibility: Report to senior members of the investment team and assist in the overall investment process, including:

▪ Research investment themes, analyze market trends, and perform due diligence on public and private companies, real estate, and other investment opportunities with the objective of enabling the investment team to make effective, and analytically driven business decisions.

▪ Lead internal portfolio management and ongoing reporting efforts across public and private equity investments, real estate, and liquidity analysis across the investment portfolio.

▪ Develop internal investment memoranda and prepare presentations of OSO Capital activities, positions, and portfolio performance.

▪ Create detailed, dynamic financial models and analysis incorporating various business projections and capital structures, while stressing critical assumptions.

▪ Manage special projects focused on accounting, legal and tax initiatives, as well as business trends and growth strategies at portfolio companies.

▪ Execute ad-hoc projects involving real and alternative portfolio assets including commercial/residential properties, high-value fleet (aircraft, watercraft), fine art and collectibles.

Qualifications: Professional, personal, and moral character above reproach, as well as:

▪ Track record of success and 1-3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking or investment management.

▪ Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.

▪ Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills.

▪ Significant experience preparing analyses and presentations in Microsoft Office products.

▪ Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding OSO Capital's investments and asset portfolio.

▪ Hard-working, can-do attitude and desire to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.

▪ Preference for candidates with ties to Northeast Florida.

Travel: 5-10%
