A Business Systems Analyst (BSA) I/II (Project Management Office)will:

  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document the needs of Dental Business stakeholders.

  • Help with the analysis of workable solutions to application, web, and systems problems.

  • Provide functional and system requirements documents including inputs, processing steps, and outputs to meet users' needs to assist developers in successfully translating and achieving the project goals. Develop test plans and test scripts, execute them as necessary, assist users with user acceptance testing, and document the test results.

  • Organize and conduct defects meetings, as needed. Coordinate with IT and vendors for implementation.

  • Create training documents and facilitate user training on new systems and/or process implementations. Maintain project repositories following the Company policies and practices.

  • Serve as the project lead on small profile projects (BSA I) or medium profile projects (BSA II). Coordinate with IT and vendors as needed.


Essential Duties:

  • Work with multiple departments, business partners, and/or vendors to solicit, collect, analyze, document, and communicate functional and system requirements based on current and future business needs.

  • Coordinate with IT and or vendors on development, testing, and deployment activities.

  • Develop test plans and test scripts, oversee testing of each delivered object to ensure all known defects are resolved before deployment.

  • Develop and or coordinate with the training department to develop training documentation, as needed, and organize user training.

  • Maintain project documentation.

  • Perform project management on small projects.


BSA IRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of Health Insurance Industry and/or business related operations and processes

  • Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to address a wide range of audiences

  • Strong Analytical Skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Working knowledge of Operating Systems, Web-based Systems, Data Bases, and Communications

  • Ability to prioritize work flow and maintain attention to detail within time constraints

  • Ability to synthesize data from divergent sources and create a final product with a consistent voice, look, and feel

  • Ability to translate between technical and business language

  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings

  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


BSA I Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of business, systems, or documentation experience, including an equivalent of at least 1 year of programming experience with SQL

  • Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment

  • Experience in the Health Insurance Industry

  • Or, equivalent military experience


BSA I Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PMI-PBA Certification

  • Experience with process mapping/process documentation

  • Proven analytical and problem solving experience


BSA IIRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of business, systems analysis, or documentation experience, including an equivalent of at least 1 year of programming experience with SQL

  • Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment

  • Experience in the Health Insurance Industry

  • Proven analytical and problem solving experience

  • Or, equivalent military experience


BSA II Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PMI-PBA Certification

  • Experience with process mapping/process documentation
